African Violet

Mr W's dad gave me an African Violet a few years back I was pleased but as my green fingers don't extend to indoors I just knew it wouldn't last long, so when it was on it's last legs I gave it to my mum.  She has propergated it and made 5 new plants, how amazing is that!  She told me how to care for them and gave me 3 back.  Check this out!

My green fingers are now indoors.

Garden

I love the garden at this time of year and have been enjoying pottering around the garden.  My tomato plants and french beans haven't grown much since I put them in, probably due to the frost, I do hope they will have a growth spurt, I don't hold out too much hope for the tomato plants as I think more than 3 tomatoes, might snap the plant.

I have noticed before what a lovely scent the Clematis Montana has, and it has looked lovely around the back door as usual.
Gerry loves to sit at the back door and tries to catch the petals as they drop!

We have also been busy putting up fences, I do love our new hazel hurdle and we have lots of nice comments from passers by.

Patchwork

Have you wondered where I have been??  As we all know at times, life can be a little trying.  And at the moment try it is!  But I shall forge on with a crafty smile!

At the moment along with gardening I have been making a patchwork cushion, or even finishing off some patchwork that my crafty mum has been doing and hadn't finished.  Not sure what she was making but decided to turn it into a cushion.  I do hope she likes it.  So today I sat in the sun to de-stress, and stitched away.
