Happy Birthday to me!

I love my birthday.  I remember one year, Mr H went on holiday skiing, I brought the garden table and benches into the kitchen.  I decorated the kitchen with bunting, decorated the table with daffodils.  Made myself a cake, laid out the cards and presents for the next morning, with my tea cup, saucer and tea pot and filled the kitchen with balloons.  A little nutty I know, but why not? I was happy sitting there spoiling myself singing happy birthday......... When the window cleaner appeared at the window..... I was so embarrassed and got up... I didn't want him to think I had done this for myself and was sitting there like the queen... Ha ha .. I will dig out a picture of that day... My neighbour then came round to take me away from my madness and we went to the garden centre.

Birthdays are a time you can go silly, why be sensible all the time, let your inner child go free and dance like mad and sing happy birthday to yourself!  For anyone having a birthday this month have a smashing time and as a friend always writes on my card, 'Give it Stacks'.

Check out the cake I made, told Mr H, I need a new oven, as it burns my cakes, he said I should turn the temperature down!
Choccolate cake with mint chocolate on top.  As it says on the cake, it is 'MINT' ha ha.
